SECOND STEPS LLC provides these services within its clinic, creating a comprehensive program that assists individuals with the behavior problems often associated with autism.
ABA therapy services are covered by most private health insurance companies for up to 40 hours of services per week. Second Steps has an in-house Insurance Department that does pre-authorization and claim submission on behalf of our clients.
SECOND STEPS LLC, which serves children from ages 2 to 18, has Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to conduct initial assessments, set goals and oversee each program. The children then work with an ABA therapist on reaching those goals. We provide a team approach and are committed to the success, well being and safety of our clients.
Interested in contacting us about your child/grandchild receiving ABA services?
The first step will be to receive clients information including insurance. We receive approval or denial from the insurance department. Depending on decision from your insurance carrier you will receive the in-take packet to complete and return. Once your packet is returned we will schedule a tour of the facility and you’ll be meeting with our Clinical Director and Operations Manager. At this meeting we will schedule your child’s assessment. Once the assessment is completed we will schedule a meeting with you to review the results with our BCBA and Clinical Director.
The ITP (Individualized Treatment Plan) will then be submitted to your insurance carrier for approval of hours. When we receive that notification back we’ll contact you to schedule your start date for therapy and number of hours approved. We will not begin treatment until we have verified that your insurance carrier will pay for services. We never want you to be liable for services “after the fact”.
